1. Minus the Bear
Hands down the most addictive music I've ever listened to. Indie rock from Seattle comprising of veteran musician (ex-Botch, Shark Keep Moving, Kill Sadie, etc). They keep pushing the boundaries of their own music and style with every album. Perfect music to hang and knock a few drinks to.

2. Polar Bear Club
I personally think they are a mix between Hot Water Music, Jimmy Eat World(?), and a hint of your favorite melodic HC band. If you crave for sing-a-long anthems and drive by songs than this one is for you. Can't get enough of their latest album Chasing Hamburg.

3. Manchester Orchestra
This is alternative rock at its finest. No bullshit, nothing more emotional and in your face than them, but a the same time so beautiful. The album Means Everything to Nothing is the epitome of greatness.

1. Can - sunshine night & day
Can is a German krautrock band whose influences can be
found upon many contemporary bands today.
They play a wild mix of raw funk, psychedelic,
blues and also incorporate heavy loads of experimentation.
This song is taken from their studio album "saw delight", pure sublime.

2. The Rival Mob - raw life
This song makes me wanna rush into brickwalls
and destroy every fucking thing.
Rival Mob has emerged into a powerful entity,
raw life is full of angst, desperation and most importantly,
a compelling combo of great early NYHC gnarly riffs.
Mosh or be a pussy.

3. Mobb Deep - eye for an eye
Hailing from Queensbridge NY,
Mobb Deep has been stated themselves as a household name,
with their highly acclaimed studio album "the infamous",
which received positive reviews all around.
Eye for an eye is a stomping anthem, featuring NaS and Raekwon from Wu.
Destined to be classic, for years to come.

1. Pulling Teeth - Grudgeholder
I swear i've never been so obsessed with band like i am obsessed with Pulling Teeth, honestly i do feel that they are under appreciated here in jakarta, this band has everything, catchy parts, metalic riffs without those shitty chugga chugga wee shit, no bullshit tough guy moshy part, devilish sound without having to sound like Integrity, a real musician and pretty much down to earth people. I've been listening to Grudgeholder ever since it was uploaded at their myspace page. although i don't really know the lyrics yet (it's not available anywhere...yet). But to me, anything they put up are still good...scratch that...still great. Think slayer jamming with black sabbath trying to play stuff like ringworm...thats how they sound like. REALLY!

2. More Than Life - Love Let Me Go
Been constantly listening to this band since the record came out on 2008-ish. It's splendid, and because of them a lot of people actually starts listening to Morrissey, The Smiths and Joy Division...well, i was referring to south east asianers though, back then i don't see many people are that interested in The Smiths & Joy Division (again i'm referring this to so-called now days hc kids). Well then, this band is highly influenced by The Smiths (who wouldn't anyway?), and the Love Let Me Go is much better than the Brave Enough To Fail album. check them out

3. Lowood - Close To Violence
Again, another under appreciated band that i've been listening to. so for you hispter-shoegaze-listening pricks try to listen to this band from sweden, yes it's pop, it's shoegaze, it's whatever you would call it post-yadda-yadda ding dong, whatever, really.
Lowood’s soundscapes are sometimes desolate and sparce, sometimes as impalpable and intangible as air.

1. MORE THAN LIFE - Scarlet skyline
I love the lyrics, i never see any modern hardcore bands that are highly infuenced by 80's britrock like Joy Division and The smiths.
2. ALMOST HOME - collapse
First time i heard this band is when my friend were making a design for them, i never thought that bands from UK are so intense and highly emotional without having a sound like emo band. This band is one of the highly anticipated band other than Dead Swans and More than life.
3. INTEGRITY - Taste my sins
This is the most evil band that i've ever heard, Ever since mid 90's when i first started listening to integrity i never got bored of it..

-Andra Punch-

woyooooo :)

This blog is made just for fun, as i am always interested in what people are listening these days, what kind of music or what band that influenced someone. so i made this blog called 3 Songs.
it's where you place your current favorite band or musician along with the explanation of why you think of that song as your current favorite. Who knows this blog might evolve into other types of blog, but for now this will be 3 Songs.
